Data Architect

I’m currently recruiting for a senior data architect role based in Cork. This is an initial 6-month contract, focusing on hybrid working. Strong day rate available.

About the role

• Lead the design and evolution of a cloud-based enterprise data platform.
• Build scalable data architecture, real-time pipelines, and secure data services to support business analytics.
• Provide technical leadership, driving best practices in data engineering, governance, and platform reliability.

Requirements

• Experience in Data Architecture, Data Modelling, or Lead Data Engineering roles.
• Technical experience with Python, GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer, Dataflow), dbt, and modern ELT/data pipeline design.
• Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience with Data Mesh, Lakehouse, or other modern enterprise data architecture patterns.
• Previous experience in designing event-driven or real-time data platforms using technologies such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
